The Good Samaritan

Unlike most folks, I am a creature of habit. I rush around taking care of everything going on around me so that I can get ready for the weekend. And, as most weekends go, I have my ritual rendezvous at WallyWorld on Saturdays. Have you ever noticed that when you think you can just rush out to the store on a Saturday and "quickly" get groceries that everyone else has the same idea?--Go figure!
As Saturday's go, I made it to WalMart around mid-morning (should have gone earlier)and wrestled through the crowds and muscled my way toward the check-out lines. As I rounded the produce section I noticed this lady eye-balling another person's shopping cart. She wasn't just looking at it, she looked like she was about to take it or pounce on it for some reason. At first, I thought what in the world could be so interesting in another person's shopping cart until I looked for myself. Now, mind you, I am a people watcher and tend to notice odd situations going on around me...this instance qualified as "odd". Within seconds, the "crazy lady" moved over and stood behind the shopping cart and just watched. As I looked over her head I noticed this small child working his way over the top of the cart on his way to possibly falling out on his head. The parent, however, was totally oblivious to the child as she dug through sale items piled near her cart.
Hmmm, I thought to myself, now I see....the "crazy lady", none other than Vicky Cline had noticed the child's possible peril and had quietly stepped over to guard the child from falling out of the cart until the parent noticed what was going on.--There are still Good Samaritans in this world! Thank you Vicky for looking out for all our kids in Greenbrier County (especially on this one occasion)!!
